Thunderpick & AffPapa: A Live Partnership Page After an ACMA Warning

Published: Updated: 2 min read

InfoBets investigation into Thunderpick & AffPapa, with the complete historical artwork published by AffPapa clearly labelled as source material.

AffPapa’s ThunderPartners partnership page remains live after Australia’s regulator formally warned the Thunderpick provider. The regulator’s page title says Paloma Media N.V., but the attached legal warning & the current Curaçao certificate identify the entity as Paloma Media B.V.

Evidence cut-off: 2 September 2026.

Correction & source clarification — 5 September 2026. The warning itself is dated 17 November 2023. The chronology now distinguishes that date from the warning page’s 19 December update. AffPapa’s 9 October 2023 partnership announcement preceded the warning; the article concerns its continued publication afterward.

What AffPapa published or retained

The reviewed source is AffPapa’s ThunderPartners partnership article; its date & relationship claim are set out in the chronology.

What the authority did

ACMA’s webpage heading says Paloma Media N.V., but the attached formal-warning PDF is addressed to Paloma Media B.V. & identifies B.V. as the provider. The current CGA certificate also names Paloma Media B.V., company number 146988.

Chronology

  1. 9 October 2023: AffPapa announced its ThunderPartners partnership.
  2. 17 November 2023: ACMA dated its formal warning to Paloma Media B.V. over Thunderpick. The warning page was last updated on 19 December 2023.
  3. 4 June 2025: the current CGA licence for thunderpick.io was granted to Paloma Media B.V.
  4. 2 September 2026: AffPapa’s partnership article remained live & the CGA certificate remained active.

The question this case raises

What review followed the warning? The partnership announcement came first; the later finding concerns Paloma’s Australian services, not a finding against AffPapa.

Reply record

InfoBets’ record says AffPapa & the relevant brand were invited to reply by 20 August 2026, 17:00 CEST; none was received by the 2 September cut-off. Silence is not an admission.
