Kalshi has struck sponsorship deals with five MLB teams at once: the Dodgers, Braves, Giants, Padres & Red Sox, according to lamag.com. The Red Sox, Dodgers & Braves reportedly rolled out signage & sponsored emails before the deals were officially announced, Front Office Sports noted. Lorenzo Sciarrino, the Dodgers’ senior vice president of global partnerships, said Kalshi “represents an exciting new category” for fan engagement.

Why it matters

Prediction markets are now buying their way into mainstream sport rather than fighting regulators from the outside. Kalshi calls itself the largest federally regulated prediction market app in the US, & stadium branding puts that pitch in front of millions of fans, at a time when its legal status in several states remains contested. Polymarket already holds a rival deal with the New York Yankees, though lamag.com reports the new agreements won’t affect other teams’ existing tie-ups with rival platforms.
