The move is real. The explanation may not be.
A price can change because money arrived, a bookmaker copied another market, a player withdrew, a feed corrected an error, liquidity disappeared or the live score changed. The graph alone cannot identify the cause.
That is why the phrase “the market knows” can be dangerous. A market can move quickly & still be wrong. A price can shorten because informed bettors acted, or because a small market reacted to very little money. Without volume & cause data, that difference remains unknown.

Why the history matters to a data business
Stored movement creates a record that a one-frame comparison cannot provide. Over time, that record can help PadBets examine when markets open, how quickly bookmakers react, where prices disagree & which events receive deeper coverage.
