Betsson B2B revenue sinks 39% as one client pulls back
Active customers surged 40% to a record 1.87 million, aided by the World Cup & domestic football seasons.
The hit
Betsson posted record third-quarter revenue of $365.7m, up 10% year-on-year, but EBITDA fell 23% to $71m, according to Yogonet. The operator’s margin narrowed from 27.9% to 19.4% as gaming taxes climbed & operating expenses rose.
Why it matters
The numbers show what happens when growth shifts into regulated markets. Locally regulated revenue jumped to 77.7% of the total from 63.8% a year ago, which comes with heavier betting duties. For bettors, it signals operators leaning harder into taxed, licensed markets, which can mean tighter sportsbook margins & fewer promotional perks as the tax bill rises.
The record
| Betting duties paid | €69.4m ($77.7m), up from €41.4m |
|---|---|
| Operating income | down 31% to $51.6m |
| B2B revenue | down 39% (about $33.6m), tied to one major client, per CFO Martin Öhman |

| Latin America revenue | up 51.8% to $130m, led by Argentina, Peru & Colombia |
| Share price | SEK 96, up from SEK 93.75 at previous close |
