Powerball jackpot rolls to $607m after no winner
Three players also won $150,000 each thanks to the Power Play multiplier.
The hit
No one matched all six numbers in Saturday’s Powerball draw, according to GamblingNews, so the jackpot rolls to $607m for Monday’s drawing. A player in Maryland matched five white numbers to win $1m, while two dozen players won tier-three prizes.
Why it matters
A rolling jackpot means the top prize keeps growing until someone matches all six numbers. A player in Minnesota previously won $2m on a Match 5 + Power Play prize, & Allwyn, which launched Powerball in the UK, has seen UK players win Match 5 prizes there, most recently $1m from the October 12 drawing.
The record
| Jackpot before Saturday’s draw | $586m, cash option $247m (GamblingNews) |
|---|---|
| Maryland Match 5 winner | $1m, numbers 12, 13, 24, 32, 35, Powerball 11 (GamblingNews) |
| Tier-three winners | 21 players won $50,000 each; 3 won $150,000 each with Power Play (GamblingNews) |
| New jackpot for October 19 draw | $607m, cash option $255.7m (GamblingNews) |
| Recent UK Match 5 win | $1m from the October 12 drawing (GamblingNews) |
