Moon.com launches 1000x market betting, losses capped at stake

Positions close automatically once losses hit the original stake, with fees charged only on the wager, not the leveraged exposure.

The hit

Moon.com has launched a market-betting platform letting users wager Up or Down on asset prices with leverage from 1x to 1000x. Each position closes automatically once its loss hits the original stake, so users cannot go into a negative balance or face margin calls.

Why it matters

For bettors, the pitch is losses limited to the stake: no calls for extra funds, no debt beyond the wager. But a position can still be wiped out fast at high leverage.

The record

Leverage range 1x to 1000x depending on market conditions
Loss cap Position closes automatically once loss equals original stake
Example exposure $100 wager at 1000x equals $100,000 market exposure, but the opening fee is calculated only on the $100 wager
Play Money mode Simulated balance toppable to $100,000 before real funds committed
Slippage 0% slippage claimed on all order fills

What happens next

Watch whether regulators in Moon.com’s eligible jurisdictions examine the leverage-&-cap model, & whether identity verification & geolocation checks hold up under scrutiny.
