Kalshi’s 15-minute crypto fees jump from under $10,000 a day to $2.9m
Kalshi’s non-sports fees are set to top $100m this month, with sports still the majority share.
The hit
Kalshi’s non-sports fee revenue is on track to top $100m this month, according to InGame, but it is not elections or Fed decisions driving it. Kalshi’s 15-minute markets, mostly crypto, brought in $20.4m in fees over the past seven days, around 80% of all non-sports fees.
Why it matters
For bettors & traders, this shows Kalshi’s growth beyond sports is concentrated in fast, near-50/50 crypto, commodity & finance bets rather than broader prediction markets on politics or culture. Gambling newsletter Earnings + More compared the format to in-play betting; a problem gambling counsellor likened it to slot machines. Kalshi says the contracts reflect real price discovery, not pure chance.
