Pennsylvania AG threatens seizure as skill-games deadline nears
A grocery-chain owner says he’s had no word from Pace-O-Matic & Miele on removing the machines.

Pennsylvania businesses have until 14 October 2026 to physically remove skill games or face law enforcement action, according to the Pennsylvania State Police, which estimates 70,000 are still operating. Attorney general Dave Sunday doubled down on the warning, saying law enforcement could seize machines from businesses that stay noncompliant.
Why it matters
Thousands of small shops, bars & grocery stores house skill games, whose revenue was credited with helping many survive the pandemic. Once the state Supreme Court’s stay on its ruling that skill games are slot machines expires, only casinos licensed by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board can legally run slot machines, cutting off that income unless lawmakers pass a fix first. One grocery-chain owner told Casino.org his machines are still powered on & neither Pace-O-Matic nor Miele Manufacturing, the companies behind Pennsylvania Skill games, have told him what to do with the cabinets.
